We long for those Sundays in abuela’s backyard, where tio’s cooking and your primo is serving drinks. So, we modeled Courier Cumbia after a family party.

Once a month, Latine screenwriters, actors and filmmakers get together to enjoy food and drinks—and read a script or two by our members.

Our goal is to empower early-career and aspiring Latine writers by giving them the opportunity to hear their scripts read out loud and receive constructive feedback from peers.

  • Launching a Discord server where members can share works-in-progress, job/grant opportunities, and more.

  • Hosting a special panel event that will bring together working filmmakers and experts on Latine representation in Hollywood.

  • Running a free screenwriting workshop for high school-age students in Los Angeles.
